E. Zane Wood

E. Zane Wood began playing guitar at 13, forming early bands like B.C. and the Cavemen (with future Captain Beefheart members). He toured with soul groups, recorded with Kim Fowley, then joined the Mike Curb Congregation in 1970—performing in Las Vegas, TV shows, awards ceremonies, and backing stars like Sammy Davis Jr. and Johnny Cash on hit records. Later fronted country acts in San Diego, winning awards. After a hiatus pursuing other careers, he returned to performing solo and teaching guitar/bass today.
